I’m running to bring my experience in education, budgeting, financial oversight, and long-term planning to the School Board—and to do the work thoughtfully and collaboratively.

I was born and raised in Maine and have called Ellsworth home for the past nine years. My husband and I are raising our two young children here, and our oldest recently started kindergarten at Ellsworth Elementary Middle School.
Education has always been an important part of my life. My mother was a teacher, my father was a principal, and I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in math.
A college work-study experience ultimately led me to a career in higher education finance. I later spent a short time teaching before returning to finance. Today, I serve as the Finance Director of a Maine nonprofit focused on expanding educational and career opportunities for students across the state.
My professional background sits at the intersection of education, nonprofit leadership, and financial stewardship.
Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, grants, compliance, resource allocation, and long-term financial planning.
A degree in Elementary Education, classroom experience, years working in higher education, and current work supporting educational opportunity across Maine.
I’m comfortable digging into details while keeping sight of the larger goal—understanding where we want to go and the practical steps needed to get there.
I believe good oversight starts with listening, understanding the information in front of us, and asking clear questions before making decisions.
School Board work is collaborative. I would work alongside fellow Board members and district administrators, respecting their experience and perspectives.
Ellsworth is where my family is putting down roots. The decisions made for our schools matter to students, educators, families, and the broader community.

I decided to run because I care deeply about public education and the community my family calls home. My background has taught me to balance needs with available resources, think beyond the immediate decision, and understand how individual choices fit into a larger plan.
Above all, I want Ellsworth schools to be safe, welcoming, and supportive places where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
I’m willing to listen, learn, ask questions, do the work, and collaborate with others.
